Community Garden

The garden at Sustainable Future Center is a hub of community-building and a central part of the SFC mission: to guide and teach our community to be self-reliant by growing their own food.

Our garden serves many purposes and projects:

  • Share permaculture principles with our community

  • Practice Regenerative Farming

  • Surplus goes to the FISH Food Pantry

  • Teaching tool for interns and school children

  • Volunteer opportunities

  • Farm-to-Table gardening

  • Providing a better, alternative way to garden and produce food

Get Involved

1. Participate as a volunteer (monthly)

2. Become an intern (weekly basis, more of a commitment than volunteering)

3. Participate in our Garden Workdays

These two opportunities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Planting crops

  • Harvesting crops

  • Weeding crops

  • Composting

  • Chicken love

  • Fruit trees maintenance

  • Landscaping

  • Building waterways, ponds, rainwater catchment

  • Microgreens

  • Bed Prep
